Alleged Cattle Rustler Discharged
Monday 28th January 2008

By Yai Dibba

Bamba Bah, an alleged cattle rustler, on Wednesday walked out of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court a free man.

Bamba was acquitted and discharged of a charge of stealing a head of cattle after several months of legal nightmare.

In discharging Bah, magistrate John Njie pointed out that the accused should be discharged for the facts that his arrest and subsequent detention had caused him to lose his own head of cattle and that the complainant had recovered the head of cattle in consideration.
